I ran 3.16 miles today!
It was a fight with myself for the approximately 34 minutes it took, but I did it. Just like all of the other workouts over the past nine weeks, I didn't cheat for a second, I followed the plan, and low and behold I am now able to run 5 kilometers.
I would be remiss if I didn't again thank Sara's friend/coworker Beckey for motivating me to do this.
Thank you Beckey.
I am proud to say that C25K is now behind me, but that doesn't mean I am stopping now. I am pondering which program to tackle next. I am leaning towards the Bridge to 10K plan, or what the heck, maybe I'll just start a marathon training program (not going to happen...at this point).
I am a runner.
Good for you! Congrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. I know of a 5k for a good cause in Indy April 2. Here is the blog info http://runforcongoindy.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteOmigosh! I am so flipping proud of you! You used the "r" word! Mega congratulations, Matt. You've been the most devoted C25K'er I've seen yet and it definitely paid off ... that's a stunning 5K time! I hope you're ready to kill the course on Saturday. =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Matt! I am so impressed. You and Mark should go on a run sometime! :) Run an extra mile for me (and my broken ankle). I miss working out! Give my best to the kids and Little. Hugs!
