For those of you out there (AKA, my mother) that may be interested in whether I have stuck to my new and improved eating and exercising habits, I have and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
This afternoon I finished Week 4 of C25K and I am happy to report I have lost 20 pounds during those 4 weeks (as a matter of full disclosure, the official weight loss is 19.6, but I feel like I have earned the right to call that 20). I was asked the other day if I like running. I must say I still do not enjoy the act of running, but the same can't be said for the feeling of accomplishment that I get when I am finished. I also don't mind seeing the scale move in the opposite direction it has over the past number of years. And who knows, my preconceived hatred for running notwithstanding, maybe someday soon I will actually enjoy it.
I think that day is coming.
I am so impressed Matt! Congratulations! Keep working out! It feels so great once you get to the "not so painful" part. I truly miss it!!! Work out extra hard for me...it's going to be awhile till I can work out again. Broke my ankle in two spots last week and had surgery, pins, plates, screws, etc. Out of commission for awhile. Would love to get some crutches advice from Sara :)
